August 2020 Love Letters: Day 13
Hello, my Beloved!
It’s late in the evening, as per my usual time to write to you. We all know I am much more of a night owl than a morning person. I hope that you have had a lovely day. Mine was long and very busy, but still I am grateful for every moment of it. Every single moment, even the ones where I was frustrated or struggling to stay motivated. There is always a blessing and a lesson in everything we go through. Today, let’s talk about redemption.
Now I want you to know I don’t plan what I am going to write about for any of this. It starts with an ongoing prayer to the Holy Spirit, asking my words to come from our divine Creator and allowing me to be a vessel of love. Then, I let whatever the message is flow through me. That’s how I try to consciously live nowadays, but it was not always like that. What a long strange trip it’s been to get here, eh love? Seriously, it has been a hard and humbling journey to now. To talk about redemption, we must look at our pasts and see not only the mistakes, but where we have grown and learned and become better people because of the journey we have taken.
There have been so many times in my life where I felt like I was just screwing everything up or on the wrong road. I have made what felt like many mistakes and have beat myself up plenty for what I’ve done. We all know what that feels like. However, every single choice I have made has shaped and molded me into who I am today, and that’s where redemption comes in.
After everything I have been through in my life, it is only by the AMAZING GRACE of God that I am still here and that I am who I am: a fierce and kind mermaid warrior of love and hugs who will fight for justice to the ends of the earth, the depths of the oceans, and the limits of outer space. God’s grace covers a multitude of sins, and you are already forgiven. You just have to believe it. Believe it, and accept it for yourself: loved wholly, and forgiven fully. Jesus covers it all, and he is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God’s love for you is unfailing, even when we don’t feel deserving of it.
YOU. ARE. LOVED. 100%, all the time. Even if you don’t share my faith in God, I know you’ve got faith in ME, and my love for you. It all comes from above. No matter what you have done, there is nothing that will ever put you beyond redemption, beyond forgiveness. It is a gift that has been given willingly and is just waiting for you to open it. Face your fears, because love conquers all, my darling. This is your siren redemption song.
I will see you tomorrow.
Love always for now and ever,
L Joy
